Men & Girls Dance R&D

Thanks to Dance4 in Nottingham (funded by the Jerwood Choreographic Research Project) and Quarterhouse in Folkestone (seeded by greenhouse, a Farnham Maltings initiative), we've been exploring new ideas and new ways of devising, along with lots of thinking about how to cause and curate conversations around the theme of the project.  Each time we come together for a period of R&D, we work with a different group of girls in the place where we're based, and we're astonished, again and again and again, by how quickly they learn our way of working, how much they hold their own against the adult professional performers they're working with, and how, again and again and again, they fill the room brim full with new and unexpected ideas.
