And The Rain Falls Down schools workshops up and running

Yesterday I took the plunge delivering the first schools workshops to run alongside the show. I visited the very welcoming Round Hill School in Nottingham with Rachel from Lakeside Arts Centre with Julia assisting, and did 4 sessions with 15 children in each.The workshops ran really well; being our first visit it was a bit of a trial and I wanted to split the time between very physical, expressive work based on themes from the show as well as giving them the chance to explore playing with water and allowing them a bit of freedom to make their own discoveries, water is a wonderful thing!Besides these things we also had fun working out the logistics of filling pools, emptying pools, avoiding slip hazards, drying many small pairs of feet and trying to keep the school dry!!
