I'm a true Northerner having grown up on the Pennines outside Rochdale and now live in Kirkby Stephen in the glorious Eden Valley.
Growing up I imagined that I'd be working in the car industry and would have joined the Ford Graduate programme after University had I not been lured away by Helen Mirren to work in theatre (I went to the Young Vic to see her in Arthur Miller's TWO WAY MIRROR and ended up working there doing Front of House and Box Office to supplement my student loan!)
I managed to get my first full time job at the Young Vic as Finance Assistant and have since worked at The Drill Hall, Oxford Stage Company, Salisbury Playhouse, Shakespeare's Globe, Wales Millennium Centre, ATG and Theatre by the Lake.
I'm currently a freelance arts producer and consultant working on projects for UK and International tours, Edinburgh International Festival, the West End and Broadway with Classic Spring Theatre Company, Shared Experience, Manhattan Theatre Club and Talawa, in addition I'm developing new work with the artists Josette Bushell-Mingo (award winning Director and Performer), Claire van Kampen (TONY nominated Writer, Director & Composer) and Adam Cooper (Director & Choreographer who created the role of 'The Swan' in Matthew Bourne's iconic Swan Lake).
