Starting Over: Salford

The evening before the first rehearsal.  The quays.  Dark water, unknown possibilities beneath the surface.  Lights, colour, low distant sun.  Something coming to an end before something new begins.  Salford.  Old ways, new developments, tradition, community, home, work, change.  A new beginning for us. 

Still us, still the men, but these new girls.  Salford girls, Manchester girls, Cheshire girls, northern girls.  The same show, but all new, totally different, waiting to be discovered here again, waiting to surface through the dark water, shining and brilliant and bright.  Salford.  The evening before the first rehearsal.  Anything might happen here.  And we can’t wait to discover what it will be.
