Little Universe

We've been watching the creation of a new universe!Today we began work on a totally new project, Little Universe, and outdoor performance for 3 & 4 year olds. The piece is a Small Wonders commission, awarded by a group of 7 leading outdoor festivals all dedicated to developing the creation of high quality work for children that can tour outdoors. So for the rest of the summer, you'll find us in fields and parks across the UK, making the most of the British summer and meeting some new audiences along the way.It's making me wonder whether the start of any project isn't a bit like the big bang... A whole bunch of smaller thoughts and ideas collecting together (an idea to create more outdoor work for children, a thought to make a piece that can tour easily and take advantage of bigger spaces, and a shared commitment to create brilliant high-quality work for young audiences) before shooting back out again in a new and exciting way.And perhaps like the big bang, while we know where we're heading, the most exciting thing is not knowing exactly how we'll get there, or what it will be like!Read more about the piece here.
