I feel very lucky - Ella, 16, Reading

We are living in very interesting times at the moment.

Initially, I didn’t think it would get this bad and didn’t believe it would spread as quick as it did. As the death rate in the UK increased, the Whole virus began to feel real, especially hearing friends losing their loved ones. 

Despite this, I feel very lucky to live in a household where I feel supported and loved, and don’t have to feel worried about staying in. I also am so grateful at this time as I have a garden to use and many other children around the world my age do not. There are so many various circumstances people are experiencing at this time therefore I appreciate everything I have. 

However, I believe it’s important to make the best out of a bad situation (despite this being something many people have never experienced). I will never take things for granted and always appreciate the presence of those special individuals in my life.
