Sam Evans
Associate Production Manager
Hear how to pronounce my name here.
I began working for Fevered Sleep in 2006 in the summer after graduation from Middlesex University.
My first role was as Stage Manager on ‘And The Rain Falls Down’. Not only was this my first role in professional theatre but my first ever UK tour and first time I went in a Luton Van (something I am well versed in now!).
Since then, I have worked in the industry in a wide range of roles in many different art forms. Working with companies such as Fuel, Russell Maliphant Company, Lookout (Brighton) and Belarus Free Theatre I have been lucky enough to travel the UK and other parts of the world I might not have had the opportunity to do, but for my career path.
I also have experience of working with students in roles at Middlesex and Royal Holloway.
“I have a particular interest in working with new audiences, encouraging people to take risks on what they see and do and experience different art forms, this includes bringing art and creativity to people who wouldn’t normally have access to innovative, exciting and different art due to social/economic reasons.”
Over the years, along side working for Fevered Sleep, I have worked in venues across London, notably as Technical Manager at Ovalhouse Theatre (now Brixton House) and at Shoreditch Town Hall where I am the Head of Production.
In the last year I have taken the role of Associate Director (Production) for Creative Crawley; an organisation championing creative people and the arts as a catalyst for positive social change in Crawley
Outside of work I enjoy multiple sports, walking up hills and live events.
I have a particular interest in working with new audiences, encouraging people to take risks on what they see and do and experience different art forms, this includes bringing art and creativity to people who wouldn’t normally have access to innovative, exciting and different art due to social/economic reasons.
