We are stuck in our house
Not allowed out
Like a wild animal stuck in a cage
We can only go to the park for a little bit of time
And if more it would be a crime
Why can’t I just be set free?
Why can’t I see the rest of my family?
Over the ocean I have to fly

Now that we’re closer my heart has opened more
Even though it gets hard we have to make sure
That we’ll come together and think about before
When we thought everything would be good forevermore

When our smiles danced
And our hands pranced
When we could hug without taking a chance

When we could see our friends until the end of the day
When we could go to school
And swim in local pools
And we had a normal schedule

We took those days for granted.
We wanted them to fly by
But now I want to go back
And not waste my time
